Building a New Era of Chips: The 2023 China Integrated Circuit Summit to be Held in Shenzhen Starting September 21

In recent years, Guangdong has focused on cultivating and developing strategic emerging industries clusters in semiconductors and integrated circuits, scientifically and precisely implementing the "Guangdong Strong Chip" project, actively constructing the "four pillars and eight beams" of the integrated circuit industry, and making numerous strategic deployments to build China's third pole in the integrated circuit industry.

The "Shenzhen Action Plan for Cultivating and Developing Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Industry Clusters (2022-2025)" proposes that by 2025, the industry's revenue will exceed 250 billion yuan, forming more than three design companies with revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan and a number of design companies with revenue exceeding 1 billion yuan, and introducing and cultivating three manufacturing companies with revenue exceeding 2 billion yuan. The level of the integrated circuit industry will be significantly improved, and the industrial structure will be more rational.

As the leading industrial city, Shenzhen is not only a hub for traditional manufacturing and emerging industries, but also a distribution center, application center, and design center for semiconductor and integrated circuit products in my country. Shenzhen boasts abundant upstream and downstream resources, with outstanding upstream design capabilities and a wide range of downstream application scenarios. Shenzhen's high degree of market-based allocation of innovation resources is conducive to accelerating technological innovation and the transformation of research results. With the nation's continued increase in support for the integrated circuit industry, Shenzhen has a favorable opportunity to cultivate and develop a semiconductor and integrated circuit industry cluster.

To promote cooperation and collaboration among upstream and downstream resources in the domestic and international integrated circuit industry chain and to fully showcase the latest technological achievements of my country's semiconductor and integrated circuit industry, the 2023 China (Shenzhen) Integrated Circuit Summit (hereinafter referred to as: ICS2023 Summit) is scheduled to be held from September 21st to 22nd, 2023 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bao'an District, Shenzhen.

It is understood that the China (Shenzhen) Integrated Circuit Summit has been successfully held for eighteen consecutive years, inviting renowned academicians, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, technology leaders, and media representatives from the domestic and international integrated circuit industry to participate each year. The summit attracts over a thousand participants and has received strong support and continuous attention from all sectors, becoming a renowned exchange platform in the integrated circuit industry.

The ICS2023 Summit, themed "Insight into Chip Trends, Building a Chip Era," will center on the Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Summit Forum, with a highlight being the "Automotive Chips and Third-Generation Semiconductor Application Forum." It will gather numerous domestic and international experts, scholars, technology leaders, and business leaders to discuss the latest technological achievements and development trends in the integrated circuit field, international situation analysis, and the construction of the industry chain ecosystem. They will jointly explore breakthrough development paths and opportunities for the integrated circuit industry.

From September 21st to 22nd, the event will feature two main forums and six thematic sub-forums. These forums will cover topics such as semiconductor and integrated circuit industry policies, technological innovation and development trends, industry chain ecosystem construction, international situation analysis, supply chain risk assessment and security, the display and application of the latest technological achievements, and the construction of the national "Chip Spark" platform and industry-education integration. Renowned academicians, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and technology leaders from the domestic and international integrated circuit industry will be invited to discuss breakthrough development and opportunities for the integrated circuit industry. The summit aims to accelerate the formation of synergy among innovation resources in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promote the high-quality development of the integrated circuit industry, and help Guangdong accelerate its development into the third pole of my country's integrated circuit industry.

This conference is guided by the China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA); hosted by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, the Integrated Circuit Design Branch of CSIA, and the National Science and Technology Major Project Expert Group ("Core High-End Basic Software and Hardware"); and organized by the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission, the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and the Bao'an District People's Government. Co-organizers include the National Integrated Circuit Design Shenzhen Industrialization Base, the Shenzhen National "Chip Spark" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base, the Shenzhen High-Tech Industry Promotion Center, the Shenzhen Semiconductor Industry Association, the Guangdong Integrated Circuit Industry Association, the Bao'an District Semiconductor Industry Association, the Southern University of Science and Technology Shenzhen-Hong Kong Microelectronics Institute, and the Shenzhen Institute of Micro-Nano Integrated Circuits and System Applications.
